What Wrestling Aide is
Wrestling Aide is a free web app where high school, middle school, and youth wrestling coaches post their events and find events that still have room for their teams. Anyone can browse it without an account.
Who it’s for
Section titled “Who it’s for”- Coaches who host events post them, keep the status current, and see which teams are looking for an event on their dates.
- Coaches filling a schedule search by date, level, division, and drive time, then message the host. They can also post that their team is looking for an event.
- Coaches planning a season build the team’s schedule on Our Season: dates by division, bus times, the state’s event limits, blackout dates, and a read-only link for the athletic director.
- Parents, wrestlers, and fans browse youth and school events, and can make a free account to watch events and save searches. They don’t need to belong to a school or club.
It works in any browser, on a phone or a computer.
What it replaces
Section titled “What it replaces”Coaches used to trade events in a shared Google Sheet and long email threads. The sheet was locked, and nobody could fix or update it. Wrestling Aide keeps the same information in a form that stays current:
- Each event belongs to its organization (the school or club), not to one person, so any of its coaches can keep it up to date when someone leaves.
- Every organization can have more than one admin, and when the only admin deletes their account the next member takes over, so no single person can lock everyone out again.
- Each event shows a status (Open, Near capacity, Full, or Cancelled), and hosts get a reminder email when the status hasn’t been confirmed in three weeks.
- Search, saved searches, and drive times replace scrolling a spreadsheet.
The app is a posting board with messages. You reach hosts and teams with Message the host or Message this team, so nobody has to publish an email or phone number, and hosts can message every team looking that fits their event at once. It doesn’t take registrations, run brackets, or collect fees; events link out to the host’s own registration and bracket sites.
Free and public, or with an account
Section titled “Free and public, or with an account”Everything about an event is public except, by default, the contact’s email and phone: dates, location, divisions, the contact’s name, flyers, and registration and bracket links. You don’t need to log in to search, see drive times from a ZIP code or city, open the map, or download a spreadsheet.
