Find events for your team

Open Events, filter by your dates, level, and division, sort by distance, then message the host from the event page. Save the search so new events come to you.

  1. Open Events. If you haven’t picked a state yet, the home page asks you to choose one. The page shows your state’s upcoming events that are Open or Near capacity, soonest first. To look at another state, use the State dropdown at the top right of the page.

  2. Pick a level in the Level dropdown at the top of the Filters sidebar on the left: All levels, High school, Middle school, or Youth and club. High school and middle school follow the school season; Youth and club covers club events all year, including freestyle and Greco-Roman. On a phone, tap Filters in the results bar to open the filters.

  3. Set the dropdowns below the level. Results update as soon as you pick.

    • Gender: Boys/Co-ed or Girls.
    • Dates: This weekend, This week, Next week, This month, Rest of this season, Next season, or Date range… and fill in From and To for your open weekend.
    • Event type, if you need a dual or a tournament.
    • More filters, at the bottom, has the rest:
      • Varsity / JV (on High school and All levels) or Age division (on Youth and club). On Youth and club, type a wrestler’s birth year in Born in to see their age division this season, then tap Show 10U (or whichever division it finds) to filter by it.
      • Style on All levels and Youth and club, if you need freestyle or Greco-Roman.
      • Keyword (event, host, or city), Status (add Full to see every full event; full events with a wait list show without it), Season, Membership required (on All levels and Youth and club), Organization type, Skip our blackout dates (members; it uses the blackout dates on Our Season), and Registration still open. Registration still open is on to start with, so events whose registration deadline has passed are hidden. Turn it off to see them.

On a phone, tap Show results to close the filters.

Division filters apply to one division at a time: Girls plus 10U finds events with a 10U girls division, not an event with 10U boys and 14U girls.

  4. Set the distance in Distance from, under the other filters. If you’re a member of an organization, distances start from its address. To use somewhere else, type a ZIP code or a city like Pierz, MN, or tap Use my location. Then pick Within, for example 2 hr drive (or 100 miles on sites that show straight-line distances).

  5. In the results bar, sort by Distance to see the closest first. Newest shows what was just posted.

Select the × in a filter’s box to clear it, or Clear all at the top of the filters to drop every filter. With a Within limit set, results include events across the state line, since teams travel; the hint under Within reads “Includes nearby states”. The address bar keeps your filters, so you can bookmark the search or send it to an assistant coach.

  • Compact, the view the list opens in, puts each event on one line with its date, place, drive time, and a Register button. In the last week before registration closes, the line says Registration closes in 3 days. A New badge marks events posted since your last visit (logged in).
  • List puts events in sortable rows, with the host contact (and email, when the host shows it).
  • Map shows events as pins colored by status, with your starting point marked.
  • CSV (a spreadsheet file) downloads the same results for Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Logged in, Teams Attending on an event page shows each team’s wrestlers per division, when its coach has entered them.
  • From Our Season, Find Events That Fit Our Open Dates lists events on dates your division is free. Tick two to four and choose Compare to see the drive, who’s going, and team sizes side by side. See Compare events.
Status Meaning
Open Looking for teams
Near capacity A spot or two left: contact the host soon
Full Full. If the host allows a wait list, you can join it
Cancelled Not happening
  1. Open the event. The buttons under the title are what you came for. On a phone, Message and Register stay at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Choose Message the host and write your question (“Do you have room for 10 JV wrestlers? We’re about 90 minutes away.”). Leave Share my email and phone with them checked if you’d like a call back. The host’s reply comes by email and in Messages. Some hosts also show their email and phone under Contact. Logged out, the button reads Log in to message the host; after you log in you come right back with the message box open.

  3. If there’s a Register button, it goes to the host’s own sign-up (for example TrackWrestling or USA Bracketing). The deadline is shown in the event’s time zone, like Registration closes Sat, Jan 3, 11:59 PM Central time. The button disappears once registration closes.

  4. Once you’re going, tap We’re attending in the Your Team panel so the host and other teams see your team on the list. It doesn’t reserve a spot; the host still decides. Add to Our Season puts the event on your team’s schedule, and Undo takes your team off the list.

  5. If the event is Full and the host allows a wait list, the Your Team panel offers Join the wait list. Add a Note for the host (“can bring 12 wrestlers”) and choose Join wait list. You’ll see You’re on the wait list (only the host sees the order), and get an email if the host opens the event up again. The host contacts you to offer a spot.

The Your Team panel needs a contributor or admin role in your organization. If you coach for more than one, each team has its own line.

  • Save search (the bookmark in the results bar) emails you when a new event matches this search, as soon as it’s posted or once a day in the morning. To get one email a week instead, turn on Weekly summary instead on Account Settings. Leave Also when a full event opens up again on to hear when a full event reopens. Under Dates, pick Any upcoming date, The rest of this season, Next season, or the dates you picked. Manage them under Saved Searches. It shows even when nothing matches yet, which is the best time to save one.
  • Watch on an event page emails you when its status changes and three days before registration closes.
  • Tell hosts you’re looking: choose Post that we’re looking on Teams Looking with your dates, divisions, and how far you’ll travel. Hosts with a matching event see your team, and you get an email when a fitting event is posted.
