Saved Searches page
The Saved Searches page, at /saved-searches, is where you manage saved searches that email you about new events or teams, and see the events you’re watching. It also gives you private calendar addresses for both. Old /alerts links open it too.
Saved Searches is a tab at the top for anyone logged in, with or without an organization. Logged out, the page asks you to log in.
Your saved searches
Section titled “Your saved searches”You save a search with Save search on the events page or the Teams Looking board. With none yet, the page says “No Saved Searches Yet” with a Search events button. If you’re watching events but have no saved searches, it says “No saved searches yet” above them, with links to both searches.
Each saved search is a card:
- Name, with a badge for what it watches: Events or Teams Looking.
- Ended: dates passed if the saved search’s date range is over, or Paused if you turned it off.
- A summary of the search, like “MN · Youth · Girls · registration open · within 60 minutes of Pierz, MN”. The distance is in minutes of driving or in miles, depending on how the site measures distance.
- Last email with the date, once the saved search has sent something.
The controls at the bottom of each card save as soon as you change them and show “Saved.” at the bottom of the screen:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email me | Right away or Daily digest. Digests go out each morning. |
| When full events reopen | Event searches only. Also emails you when a full event that matches opens up again. |
| On | Pauses or resumes the saved search. Hidden once it has ended. |
| Magnifying glass (Open this search) | Opens the events page or Teams Looking board with the saved search’s filters. |
| Trash can (Delete this saved search) | Asks “Delete Saved Search?”; select Delete saved search to remove it. |
You can’t change a saved search’s filters or name here. To change the search, select the magnifying glass, adjust the filters, save it again, and delete the old one.
Calendar feed for a saved search
Section titled “Calendar feed for a saved search”Event searches have a Calendar Feed section you can open. It holds a Calendar address with a Copy button. Paste it where your calendar app subscribes to a calendar with a web address (Google Calendar: Other calendars, From URL) to see the search’s events there, and they stay up to date by themselves. Keep the address private.
Make a new address asks you to confirm, then replaces it. The old address stops working right away, so anyone you shared it with loses access. See Calendars.
Events you’re watching
Section titled “Events you’re watching”This section appears once you watch at least one event with Watch on its event page. You get an email when a watched event changes status, and a reminder before its registration closes. The events show as cards. To stop watching one, open it and select Watching.
Subscribe in your calendar shows the Calendar address for watched events with a Copy button. It’s private to you. Make a new address replaces it and turns off the old one.
Bottom of the page
Section titled “Bottom of the page”Once you have a saved search, a note reminds you that daily digests go out each morning, and that Account Settings has the weekly summary and a switch that turns off all saved search emails at once.
On a phone
Section titled “On a phone”Each saved search’s controls wrap onto several lines. The calendar address box and its Copy button stay side by side, so select Copy instead of trying to select the long address by hand.
