Post That We’re Looking form
The post form is where a team posts that it’s looking for an event, or changes that post. It opens at /teams-looking/new (heading Post That We’re Looking) and at /teams-looking/<id>/edit (heading Edit What We’re Looking For).
You need to be a contributor or admin of the team’s organization. Logged out, the page asks you to log in. Without that role, it explains what you need and links to Join or add your organization. On the edit page, other people see “Only contributors and admins of” the organization “can edit this post.”
If you post for more than one organization, a Team menu at the top picks which one the post is for. It starts on your acting organization.
“Posting for” shows the organization. Pick how to give the dates under Dates:
- A date or range: fill in From (required) and To. To follows From until you change it; leave them the same for one day.
- Specific dates: fill in Dates that work, then Add a date for each extra day (“Or”). The × beside a day takes it off.
Dates can’t be in the past. A range, or the spread of specific dates, can cover up to four months, and you can list up to 20 specific dates.
What you’re looking for
Section titled “What you’re looking for”| Field | Required | What to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Divisions | Yes | Check each division, like High school Boys/Co-ed. High school needs Varsity, JV, or both. For youth, check the Age divisions you want, or leave them all unchecked if any age works. |
| Style | Yes, when shown | Shows only when you check a youth division or leave all divisions unchecked. At least one. Folkstyle is checked to start. Otherwise the post is folkstyle. |
| Kinds of events | Yes | At least one of Individual tournament, Dual, Dual tournament, Tri, Quad, and Other. |
| Longest drive (minutes) or Farthest distance (miles) | No | How far the team will travel from its organization, from 5 to 600. Leave it empty for any distance. Which one you see depends on how the site measures distance. |
| Team size | No | Like “About 12 JV wrestlers”. Up to 100 characters. |
| We could host a dual or tri on these dates | No | Adds a Can host badge, so the post is also an offer to host. |
| Notes | No | Anything else. Up to 2,000 characters. |
Contact
Section titled “Contact”How coaches reach you comes first:
- Through Wrestling Aide messages (your email and phone stay private): the default. Hosts see the contact’s name and use Message this team. See Messages.
- Show my email and phone on the post.
Either way, your organization’s members see the details. The contact starts with your name, email, and phone from your account.
| Field | Required | What to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | Up to 100 characters. |
| Yes | A full email address. | |
| Phone | No | Up to 30 characters. |
Emails about new events
Section titled “Emails about new events”Your post also works as a saved search: when a new event fits, the app emails you.
- Send them: As they’re posted or In a daily digest.
- Also when a matching event reopens: on by default. Emails you when a full event that fits opens up again.
These emails stop when you mark the post filled or its dates pass.
Saving
Section titled “Saving”Select Post that we’re looking (or Save changes). Cancel goes back. Problems show in a red box at the top and next to their fields.
After posting you land on the post page, which already lists the events that fit.
There’s no delete button. When you’ve found an event, select We found an event on the post page to take it off the board. Posts also drop off by themselves after their last date.
On a phone
Section titled “On a phone”The paired fields and the three contact fields stack into one column.
