Join or add your organization

Events and team posts belong to an organization: a school, youth club, booster club, nonprofit, or other group. Find yours on the Welcome page and ask to join, or add it if it isn’t listed. Parents and fans can skip this step.

  1. After you sign up you land on Welcome. You can come back to it any time from Account Settings > Organizations > Join an organization.

  2. Under Find your school or organization, type part of the name or the city. If there’s a State dropdown beside the search box, check that it shows your school’s state. Public high schools and middle schools are already listed. Each result shows the name, type, and city, for example Hopkins High School · High school · Minnetonka, MN.

  3. Pick your organization. What happens next depends on whether it already has an admin:

    • Nobody from the organization is here yet: choose Join as admin. You become its admin right away.
    • It has an admin: add an optional Note to the admins (“Assistant coach, girls team”) and choose Ask to join. The admins get an email and choose your role. You get an email when they answer.

For a co-op, search for your school: the co-op comes up, and you join it. See Co-ops.

You can also join from an organization’s own page: open it and choose Ask to join (or Join as admin when it has no admin yet). That button sends the request without a note.

If a join request goes unanswered for 7 days, the organization’s admins get a reminder. After 21 days it closes and you get an email; ask a coach there to invite you, or ask to join again.

Public high schools and middle schools come from the federal school directory. Private, charter, and parochial schools may not be listed yet: add yours here with Type High school (or Middle school), and it works like any other school. A site admin may also load your state’s private schools in bulk later; if a duplicate turns up, they merge the two.

  1. On Welcome, choose My organization isn’t listed. (Or go to Account Settings > Organizations > Add an organization.)

  2. Enter the Name as people know it, the Type (High school, Middle school, Youth club, Booster club, Nonprofit, or Other), the Street address, City, State, and ZIP, and an optional Website.

  3. Choose Add organization. You’re its admin.

Fill in the street address: drive times to and from your events and your team’s posts start from it. Add the website too: once a member has a confirmed email on that website’s domain, the organization verifies itself.

A new organization shows as Unverified. Its events are public right away, marked “Posted by a new organization”, and it can have up to 5 upcoming events until it verifies. See New organizations and reports.

If an admin invited you, open the link in the email. Log in or choose Create an account with the address the invite was sent to, then Accept invite. You join with the role the admin picked, with no request step. Invites last 14 days and only work for that address. See Invite page.

You don’t need an organization. On Welcome, choose Continue without an organization. You can still watch events, save searches, and subscribe to calendars. See Follow events as a parent or fan.

You can belong to several organizations, for example a high school and a youth club, with a different role in each. Use the organization switcher in the top bar to choose which one you’re acting for. See Getting around.

To leave an organization, go to Account Settings > Organizations and choose Leave.
