Flyers and links

Hosts can attach a flyer and add links so coaches and parents find everything in one place. All of these are optional, and all are set on the event form by the host’s contributors and admins.

  1. On the event form, go to Flyer.
  2. Choose a PDF, JPG, or PNG file.
  3. Select Post event or Save changes. The flyer uploads after the event saves.

On the event page, an image flyer shows in the Flyer section; select it to open it full size. A PDF shows as a Download flyer (PDF) button. An image flyer is also used for link previews.

When editing, the form shows the current flyer with Remove, and the file picker becomes Replace the flyer.

  • PDF, JPG, or PNG, up to 10 MB.
  • Images larger than 2,400 pixels on a side are scaled down, and every image is saved again, which also removes hidden details like camera location.
  • PDFs that contain scripts, launch actions, embedded media, XFA forms, or attached files are turned away with “That PDF has scripts, actions, or attached files. Save it as a plain PDF (for example with Print to PDF) and try again.”
  • If the event saves but the flyer doesn’t, the event page says “The event was saved, but the flyer didn’t upload. Try again from Edit.”
  • Registration link: where wrestlers or teams sign up, often USA Bracketing or TrackWrestling. It shows as a Register button in the row of buttons under the event’s title, and at the bottom of the screen on a phone. Members of the host organization see it in the Registration section.
  • Registration deadline: a date and time in the event’s time zone. The page shows “Registration closes Sat, Jan 3, 11:59 PM Central time”, and cards show “Registration closes” with the date.

After the deadline passes, the event page says “Registration closed” and hides the Register button. The deadline also drives:

  • The Registration still open filter under More filters. It’s on by default, so event search hides events whose deadline has passed until you turn it off.
  • A reminder email to people watching the event, three days before. See Watching.
  • A “Registration closes” entry in calendar feeds. See Calendars.

The deadline must be on or before the event’s last day.

  • Bracket link on the event form covers the whole event.
  • Each division can also have a Bracket link for this division, for when the divisions are separate events on the bracket site.

Links show as buttons in the event page’s Links section, labeled by site: USA Bracketing, TrackWrestling, or FloArena. Links to other sites say Brackets. Division links add the division, like “TrackWrestling: High school Girls”.

Event website links to the event’s own site. It shows as an Event website button in the Links section.

  • Every link must be a full web address starting with https:// (or http://), up to 500 characters.
  • Links open in a new tab.
  • Copy to Next Season clears the registration link and bracket links, moves the deadline a year, and doesn’t copy the flyer. Duplicate keeps all of them. See Copy and next season.

The Details section of the event form, which ends with Flyer, and the Who Can Come section for per-division bracket links.
