Sharing

Every event has its own public page that anyone can open, with or without an account. Hosts share it with teams; coaches share it with parents and assistants.

  1. Open the event page.
  2. Select Share in the row of buttons under the title. Hosts find it under More in the host panel, or as Share the link right after posting.
  3. On a phone, pick an app from your device’s share menu. On a computer without a share menu, the link is copied and you’ll see “Link copied.”

You can also copy the address from your browser. It looks like /mn/events/1234-pierz-invitational. The number identifies the event, so a link keeps working after the host renames it.

When you paste an event link into a text, email, or social media post, most apps show a preview with:

  • Title: the event name and dates, like “Pierz Invitational · Sat, Jan 10, 2027 · Wrestling Aide”. Cancelled events start with “Cancelled:”.
  • Description: dates, city, host, levels, and status, like “Sat, Jan 10, 2027 in Pierz, MN. Hosted by Pierz High School. High school wrestling. Open.”
  • Image: the flyer, if it’s a JPG or PNG. Otherwise the host organization’s logo, if it has one.

Organization pages and state event pages have previews too.

Event pages also carry search engine markup, so events can show in Google’s event posts.

  • Events hidden after reports aren’t public. Their link shows “This event isn’t available” to anyone outside the organization, and the preview has no details.
  • Search filters are part of the Events page address, so you can share a search the same way. See Search and filters.
  • Apps cache previews. A change to the event can take a while to show in a preview that was already shared.

Share is in the row of buttons under the title of an event page, next to Add to calendar. The host’s contributors and admins have it under More. Host members with the View role copy the address from the browser.
