Notifications

The bell at the top right shows what’s new for you while you’re logged in. A red number on it counts the notifications you haven’t opened.

Almost everything Wrestling Aide emails you also appears as a notification, so you can catch up without your inbox:

  • New messages from other coaches
  • A team joined your wait list, or spots may be open on a wait list you’re on
  • A new event matches one of your saved searches, a new team matches a saved Teams Looking search, or a new event fits your team’s post (when the saved search or post emails you right away)
  • An event you watch changed status, or its registration closes soon
  • Status check-ins and “Post next year’s event?” reminders for your events, and changes someone else made to them
  • A host changed an event on your team’s season, and there are host changes to review (contributors and admins)
  • Your event was hidden after reports, or a site admin put it back up or removed it
  • Join requests and reminders (for admins), the answer to your own request, or a note that it closed
  • You became an organization’s admin because its only admin deleted their account

Saved search and post matches show here only when they’re emailed right away. Matches that wait for a daily or weekly digest are in the digest email only. Invites and season schedule change emails don’t create a notification either.

If you turned an email off under Account Settings, that kind doesn’t show here either, except messages from other coaches, which always show. Host changes to review always show too.

  • Choose the bell to see the latest eight. Unread ones are in bold. Choosing one opens the page it’s about and marks it read.
  • Mark all read clears the count.
  • See All Notifications opens the Notifications page with your latest 100, each with a line of detail. It has its own Mark all read button.

Read notifications are removed after 90 days. The count refreshes every minute while the app is open, and when you come back to the tab.

Unread messages also show as a number next to the Messages tab. That number counts conversations, and it stays until you open them, even if you’ve already read the notification. See Messages.
