Email link pages

Two small pages open from buttons in emails and work without logging in: the status check-in page (/check-in) and the stop-emails page (/unsubscribe). Both ask for one more select before they change anything, so email security scanners that open links can’t change your event or turn off your saved searches by accident.

Hosts of open and near-capacity events get a periodic email asking “Is” the event “still open?”, with buttons for Still open, Near capacity, and Full. Each button opens the check-in page, titled Event Status Check-In.

The page shows the event’s name (linked to its event page) and its current status badge, then “Confirm the event’s status so teams know whether there’s room.”

  • The main button matches the one you chose in the email, like Mark as Near capacity.
  • The other two statuses sit next to it, in case you picked the wrong one.

Select one and the page says “Saved:” with the status and “Thanks for keeping it current.” Confirming updates the “Status confirmed” date on the event page, even if the status stays the same. See Check-in emails.

Check-in links last 30 days. An old or broken link shows “This link has expired. Log in and open the event from My Events to update it.” with a link to My Events.

To stop getting check-in emails, turn off “Is this event still open?” check-ins on your Account Settings page.

Every saved search email, and every email about new events for a team’s post, has a link to stop them. It opens the page titled Stop These Emails, which asks “Turn off the emails from this saved search or post?” Select Turn off.

What happens depends on where the link came from:

Email from Result
A saved search That saved search is paused. The page says it’s off and you can turn it back on under Saved Searches.
A team’s Teams Looking post Emails about new events for that post stop. The post stays on the board. To turn them back on, edit the post and save it.

A Manage saved searches link then takes you to the Saved Searches page, where a paused saved search has an On switch to turn it back on.

A link missing its code shows “This link is missing its code.” with a link to Saved Searches. An invalid link shows an error asking you to manage your saved searches from your account.

Many email apps also show their own Unsubscribe button at the top of these emails. It does the same thing as Turn off.

Both pages are short and work the same way. The check-in buttons wrap onto more than one line if they don’t fit.
