Add an organization

The Add an Organization page, at /org/new, creates an organization that isn’t in the app yet. You become its admin right away. It’s for youth clubs, booster clubs, nonprofits, and schools that aren’t listed, often private, charter, and parochial schools. Add a school with Type High school or Middle school.

Open it with Add an organization under Account Settings > Organizations. The same form also opens on the welcome page when you select My organization isn’t listed. Logged out, the page asks you to log in.

Field Required What to enter
Name Yes The name people know it by, like “Hopkins Youth Wrestling”. Up to 150 characters.
Type Yes High school, Middle school, Youth club, Booster club, Nonprofit, or Other.
Street address No Used for drive times. Worth adding: without it, distances from your organization can’t be shown.
City Yes
State Yes Two letters. Starts with Your state from your Account Settings page, or the last state you looked at. Change it if your organization is in another state.
ZIP No
Website No A full address starting with https://. Use the school’s or club’s own site: once a member has a confirmed email address on that website’s domain (not Gmail and the like), the organization verifies within the hour.

Select Add organization. If something’s missing, a red box at the top explains it.

You land on the new organization page with “You’re an admin of” the organization. From there you can add a logo, invite coaches, and post events.

New organizations show as Unverified. Your events are public right away, marked “Posted by a new organization”, and you can have up to 5 upcoming events until the organization verifies on its own. See New organizations and reports.

The type and state can’t be changed later from the organization’s settings, so check them before you add it.

The form is a single column. City, State, and ZIP stack when the screen is narrow.
